Georgetown Kraft Credit Union offers club savings accounts for short-term planning as well as accounts to encourage money management among kids and youth. All club accounts are insured by the NCUA up to $250,000 and earn dividends compounded quarterly like regular share accounts. Deposits can be made in person, by mail, payroll deduction or direct deposit.
Congratulations Accounts - Whether walking down the aisle, or expecting a new baby, GKCU wants to say Congratulations! GKCU Congratulations Accounts are special savings accounts set up for you to receive financial gifts from friends and family before the big day arrives. When open, you receive "registry cards" to give to friends, a small gift from the credit union and you are even notified when a deposit is made with an elegant card sent by the person giving the gift. You can also monitor your account with our FREE online services. Requires $50 minimum deposit and must be open 90 days prior to the event.
Holiday Club Account - Make the holidays more enjoyable by saving a little each month. Make deposits throughout the year and in November, the funds are directly deposited into your share savings account to pay for gifts and other holiday purchases.
Vacation Club Account - Enjoy more of your vacation without worrying about every penny. With the Vacation Club Account, you can start saving for your vacation as soon as you start planning your getaway. Funds are deposited into your share savings account in May.
Kids Club - Teach your kids how saving money can be fun! For kids from birth to age 12, GKCU's Kids Club gives kids incentives and prizes to save money so its there when they need it. Members receive prizes from our Treasure Box, special newsletters and birthday cards, t-shirts and gift certificates when they reach $100, $250 and $500 balances!
Smart Savers - Specifically designed for students in grades 6-12, Smart Savers implements the fundamentals of money management and establishing good credit. Special newsletters, incentives and advice are given to help teach students how to make decisions for future financial needs. Also makes them eligible for the annual GKCU College Scholarship given out each May.
